Good book! Bad fonts...

The content of this book is outstanding. I truly enjoyed reading through it and will most definitely be using it as the basis for some Raspberry Pi "playtime".
I read the book using the most recent version of the Kindle reader app on my iPad. The font used for the code examples and technical words in paragraphs highly detract from the usability of what is being presented.
Would I suggest someone else buy this book, yes! But only with a strong warning that they may have to take some reading breaks.

Great details on measurement electronics

Not really Pi specific. If you want to build your own circuits for measurement and control them with a linux based gadget, this is your book. Heavy on the math. Like a college course in signal conditioning and measurement. If you just want to buy and use i/o boards, not for you. If you want to roll your own, start here!

Doesn't cover a lot of ground, but covers it well

There aren't a great variety of circuits covered in this book, but the ones it includes are well designed and well explained. The schematics, code, and descriptions are all easy to understand even if you have no professional training in electrical engineering. You'll find a lot of half- baked Raspberry Pi projects (no pun intended) on the Internet, but here you'll find the right way to do it.
